Ingredients:
- 1 lb frozen edamame (in pods), thawed
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Rinse the thawed edamame pods under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Note: Wet pods will cause the sauce to splatter and steam.
- Place a skillet over medium high heat and add the neutral oil.
- Once the oil is shimmering, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant and golden.
- Increase heat to high and stir in the chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar.
- Immediately add the edamame pods to the pan.
- Toss the pods vigorously for 2-3 minutes until the sauce has reduced into a thick, glossy coating.
- Ensure the pods are heated through and the sauce is sticking to the shells.
- Remove from heat and transfer the pods to a serving bowl.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
