Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. Combine the ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground black pepper, and coconut oil in a small saucepan with 1/4 cup of the almond milk.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium low for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the spices are fragrant and the liquid is steaming.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and whisk in the maple syrup and vanilla extract. Let the concentrate sit for 2 minutes to cool slightly.
  4. Pour the remaining 1 1/4 cups of cold almond milk into a glass or shaker. Stir in the warm golden concentrate.
  5. Use a handheld frother for 30 seconds or shake vigorously in a mason jar until a thick, velvety foam forms on top.
  6. Fill a tall glass with fresh ice cubes.
  7. Pour the frothed golden mixture over the ice.
  8. Give it one final stir with a straw to create those beautiful gold swirls.
