Ingredients:
- 12 oz (340g) frozen shelled edamame
- 1 tbsp (15ml) toasted sesame oil
- 2 tbsp (30ml) soy sauce
- 3 cloves (9g) garlic, minced
- 1 tsp (5g) fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp (5ml) honey
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp (5g) toasted sesame seeds
- 1 stalk (10g) green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Mince your garlic and grate the ginger. Set these aside with your measured soy sauce and honey.
- Heat the sesame oil in your skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir constantly for about 60 seconds until the garlic smells nutty and becomes fragrant, but not brown.
- Toss in the frozen edamame and stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until the beans are thawed and heated through.
- Pour in the soy sauce, honey, and red pepper flakes. Increase heat to high and stir constantly for 1–2 minutes until the sauce has thickened into a glossy coating and the beans are a deep mahogany-colored gold.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onion.
