Ingredients:
- 12 oz frozen edamame in pods
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
Instructions:
- Steam the frozen edamame according to package instructions. This is usually 5 minutes via steamer or 3 minutes in the microwave.
- Drain the beans thoroughly. Note: Pat them dry with a paper towel to ensure the sauce sticks.
- Place a skillet over medium low heat.
- Add the toasted sesame oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and pale golden.
- Increase heat to medium.
- Add the steamed edamame, soy sauce, and honey to the pan.
- Toss vigorously with tongs for 2 minutes until the liquid reduces into a mahogany colored glaze that coats every pod.
- Remove from heat immediately.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and red pepper flakes.
- Finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt before serving.
