Ingredients:

  • 1 lb frozen edamame (in-pod or shelled)
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp chili crisp
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced

Instructions:

  1. Rinse frozen edamame under warm water until thawed, then pat completely dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. Heat neutral oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant but not brown.
  3. Increase heat to high, add edamame, and stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until pods slightly blister or shelled beans are toasted.
  4. Pour in whisked soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, and chili crisp. Toss rapidly for 1–2 minutes until the sauce reduces to a glossy lacquer.
  5. Remove from heat immediately and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
