Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels Note: moisture on the surface prevents the paprika from sticking.
- Season chicken evenly with 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1/2 tsp paprika.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together 2 tbsp melted butter, 3 cloves minced garlic, and 1 tsp dried oregano.
- Pour the butter mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Drizzle 1/2 cup heavy cream over the chicken.
- Top with 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven and let the chicken rest in the dish for 5-10 minutes until the juices settle.
