Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels Note: moisture on the surface prevents the paprika from sticking.
  2. Season chicken evenly with 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and 1/2 tsp paprika.
  3. Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together 2 tbsp melted butter, 3 cloves minced garlic, and 1 tsp dried oregano.
  5. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the chicken.
  6. Drizzle 1/2 cup heavy cream over the chicken.
  7. Top with 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Remove from oven and let the chicken rest in the dish for 5-10 minutes until the juices settle.
