Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 5 hamburger buns

Instructions:

  1. Place the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it into small crumbles with your wooden spoon. Continue cooking until the meat is fully browned and no pink remains.
  2. Lower the heat to medium. Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly until the beef is completely coated.
  3. Let the mixture simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce transforms to a deep mahogany color and thickens into a glossy glaze.
  4. Lightly toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or with a bit of butter in a separate pan.
  5. Spoon a generous portion of the beef mixture onto each toasted bun.
