Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 5 hamburger buns
Instructions:
- Place the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it into small crumbles with your wooden spoon. Continue cooking until the meat is fully browned and no pink remains.
- Lower the heat to medium. Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly until the beef is completely coated.
- Let the mixture simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce transforms to a deep mahogany color and thickens into a glossy glaze.
- Lightly toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or with a bit of butter in a separate pan.
- Spoon a generous portion of the beef mixture onto each toasted bun.
